December 2009 • Aboard the MV Manthiri Liveaboard

We’ve booked the “best boat” in the Maldives for our Holiday 2009 trip! Come join us aboard the MV Manthiri doing BOTH the North & South Atolls on a special “holiday” cruise from Dec. 20, 2009, through Jan. 3, 2010**. “The Maldives is one of the most spectacular dive destinations in the world. Perhaps nowhere else is the marine life as rich, diverse and colorful as in these warm waters in the Indian Ocean.” This premier Liveaboard carries only 12 guests in six spacious cabins. Each cabin has its own individually controlled air-conditioning, storage, ensuite bathrooms with modern fixtures, shower and plenty of hot water! The cabins and salons are equipped with BOTH 220 and 110-volt outlets.

“The Maldives is one of the world’s greatest nature marine animal sanctuaries.” Each charter begins in Male, the capital, and our trip will cover both the North & South Atolls, a combination of blue water drift dives and thilas (sea mounts) and whale sharks and mantas can be seen year-round in the Maldives! Weather is tropical since the Maldives are located near the Equator, and water temperatures generally range in the 83-85 degree range. All diving is done from the accompanying dhoni, a 54’ dive boat fitted with air & Nitrox (available for those certified in its use for an additional charge) as well as the required safety equipment. Dive gear remains on the dhoni for the duration of the trip and dive guides familiar with each dive site assure guests of the optimal sightings.

Airfare from your gateway city as well as any pre-post hotels will be individually arranged at 330 days prior to departure date. Mandatory group trip insurance will be included in your final package price. The Manthiri requires evacuation insurance for each diver and 30-day visitor visas are arranged for citizens of most countries upon arrival. A $1,500 per person NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to confirm your spot. Deposits will only be refunded if the space can be re-sold. Your passports MUST have six months remaining validity to enter the Maldives. Kindly check with your personal medical provider or the Centers for Disease Control to determine if any inoculations are required.

Pricing for the Manthiri portion only is $5145.00/per person discounted for cash or check. Non-discounted credit card pricing is $5350.00 per person. Additional deposits will be required once airfare/hotels are secured. Final payment will be due by Aug. 10, 2009.
