2008 HOLIDAY TRIP TO MALAYSIA

Our Holiday, 2008 Adventure begins on Saturday, December 20, 2008. LoungeWe'll stay at the lovely Sipadan Water Village, where our over-the-water cottages that will be our home for 10 nights/9 days of fantastic diving and Malaysian culture.

About Malaysia: The still unexplored seabeds of Malaysia are unrivaled for the variety and spectacular beauty of the marine life they host. Mabul is still a 'secret' destination reserved for a very few. Every dive holds a surprise or a new species, always rare or at least uncommon, always strange, and always difficult to identify without the aid of the by-now highly expert local dive masters, who have truly invented a professional specialization. Janet lead a group trip to Malaysia in April 2004 (and again in December 2005) and brought back this report. In addition, she took lots of great diving photos during an earlier trip to Malaysia.

Accommodations are in standard over-water cottages (714 sq ft.) which feature 2 double-beds; full bathroom with shower; sitting area & 2-sided porches. Deluxe cottages are available with a king bed and full bathtub for an additional charge. Standard cottage amenities include: tea/coffee maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, hot/cold showers, ceiling fans, mini bar, 220-volt electrical service. 110-volt electrical service for charging batteries/cameras is available in the photo rooms near the dive shop. Diving includes regularly scheduled trips to Mabul, Kapalai & Sipadan Islands. Shore diving is available on the two house reefs in front of the resort. Night shore dives, Mandarin Fish dives are available on a sign-up basis daily.
